Another relaxing day in the sun.  About 30C and blue, blue skies.  Went for an early morning walk to Rose Bay and guess what? - I remembered my camera so below is a pic of the strangler tree growing over a huge boulder and establishing new roots are the far side.

How Blue is that Sky!

The blue sky and rocks make a perfect backdrop for the magnificent frangipani in the caravan park.  The flowers are so colourful and prolific - exotic flowers of all colours are everywhere here thriving in the hot, dry conditions.

It was the last day of school for the Bowen Schoolies.  Many appeared here at Horseshoe Bay in their school uniforms and dived full clothed into the surf to celebrate.  They were obviously delighted to have finished with school forever!

We walked out on the jetty originally built in the 1860's when Bowen was first settled.  It was the focus of the filming of the movie Australia.

We have decided to move on tomorrow to Townsville.  This park has become too crowded!!! (Only joking - there are only about 6 vans/campers in the whole park).  See below our van is in the centre.
